Board shape

The board was to be a large size to make it easy for catching waves and the larger size would also add buoyancy to counteract its heavier weight.

The length of the board was constrained to that of a standard sheet of plywood, 2.5m long, plus a little extra from the addition of nose and tail blocks. The overall board dimensions are 2530mm x 570mm or 8' 3 3/5" x 22 1/2".

I modelled the board using Board CAD software https://www.boardcad.com/ before using Hollow Board Template Maker to chop it up into a number of cross sections to allow the design to be printed.
