This was very time consuming!

The surfboard rails were built up from strips of square section pine, the type you can purchase from Homebase.

Each strip was glued in place one at a time and a lot of clamping was required. I improvised by using a combination of g-clamps, clothes pegs, duct tape and rubber bands to hold evrything in place. It was very time consuming to clamp up and wait for the glue to dry before adding the next strip!

Near the ends the bend radius became too tight and I switched to solid timber rails, using some spare offcuts of solid timber at the nose and tail.
